Review: Kate EarlRelease of her new self-titled album![]() Kate Earl by Kate Earl Kiwi Rating: 4 out of 5 Kiwis ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Kate Earl's self-titled album was released earlier this month proving that a successful combination of pop and soul can be achieved. Originally from Alaska, Earl is of Filipino and Dutch/Welsh descent and currently resides in Los Angeles, where she is living her dream of becoming a musician. Her newest album, Kate Earl, is full of honest lyrics and slowed down beats. The tracks start off with a jazzy feel to them, especially the song Nobody, and as the end of the album nears, listeners should expect a string of popish ballads, including Impossible. Her music reminds me of Amy Winehouse with a splash of another popular Alaskan, Jewel. Kate Earls voice is soulful and pleasurable to the ears.
