I usually wouldn’t make such statements before the release of an album, especially one in which nothing has leaked, but Rihanna’s 2009 album is going to be amazing (at least according to the details we have so far). This is her first studio album since the 2007 chart-topper, Good Girl Gone Bad.

According to various sources, the Good Girl Gone Bad will be teaming up with hit-makers like Justin Timberlake, The- Dream (Umbrella), Jay-Z, Kanye West, OneRepublic, Pharrell Williams, Soulja Boy, and Tyson Ritter of the All-American Rejects. If that’s not a star-studded, bound for ridiculous amounts of success album, I don’t know what is. It has yet to be confirmed, but the album title is supposedly entitled, Rated-R. Get it? R = Rihanna? And, since the singer is known for her sexy, edgy, mohawk-rocking style, I wouldn’t be surprised if that title referenced the style of the album, as well.

I hope the album will live up to the hype. It’s been way too long and the world is definitely in need of another Rihanna masterpiece!
