A suburban Detroit woman has decided to scare up the vote among neighborhood children by just offering treats to John McCain supporters.

Shirley Nagel of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., handed out candy Friday only to those who shared her support for the Republican presidential candidate and his running mate Sarah Palin. Others were turned away empty-handed.

TV station WJBK says a sign outside Nagel's house warned: "No handouts for Obama supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of supporters."

That's horrible. The kids have nothing to do with their parents' political stances. I STILL don't know what my parents' political parties are. It's something they always said had nothing to do with anyone else but themselves. I hope her house got egged...

Ha! How ridiculous. Halloween candy is for kids. Denying them candy won't help anything. I hope her house got egged.

good

I would just say sure I support McCain just so I can get the candy. It's not like I can vote yet so swaying me does nothing.
Posted: Mon Nov 03rd , 2008
That doesn't make anyone want to support McCain so she did nothing positive. There was no point in doing this. :/

sillybanana and phia1000, you guys are such dork wads if you were there and you were a little child then it wouldn't be funny and obama is not racist mccain is...every person knows it and if you want a vice president that has no clue what the hell a vice president does and lies about a lot things that are now coming into the light then fine by me your not screwing up our generation...your screwing up the generation after us. the woman in michigan is being rasicit toward the children just because their parents don't support what mccain and palin are doing. its mean and its very hurtful and unforuntantly theres noting that the authorites can do about it. if the shoe was on the other foot always remembe that.

Let's just be glad this woman isn't in a positon of more power. Can you imagine if SHE managed to be President? "Vote yes to this, or I'll send your children to prison." What a horrible way to try to influence children.

i dont support obama, but that is still sad :(
Posted: Mon Nov 03rd , 2008
This woman is a witch. Those children have little or no clue about political things, they were only out to get candy and have a good time. Like they should be punished for who their parents support. There were kids that were CRYING and she didn't even care!!! What a horrible person.

What a wench! Seriously, it's one thing to support a candidate, it's another to shun those who don't agree with you. ESPECIALLY children.
Posted: Mon Nov 03rd , 2008
that's pretty funny
Posted: Mon Nov 03rd , 2008
I'd like to beat that f*n woman with a bat and then run over her with my car. That severely agitates me to be such a witch to children... What a HORRIBLE person. Those children can't vote and are just trying to have some innocent fun. Is she f*n kidding me?? GRRRRR!
Posted: Mon Nov 03rd , 2008
That's so freaking insane,I'd like to PUNCH her in the face! Children should not be brought into this...and P.S. We live in AMERICA so we can all make our OWN choices and have our own RIGHTS.We all are not the same, and don't have the same beliefs,opinions,ect....IDIOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

SillyBanana, it's painfully obvious you have at best a hopelessly vague idea of what socialism even is.
Posted: Mon Nov 03rd , 2008
I would never do that. The only people who i wouldn't give candy to is those not in costume. It's not hard to be creative with what you have, if you don't have time or money to buy or make a costume. I do think, though, she has every right to do that and is being anti-socialist by not spreading the wealth. She doesn't have to hand candy at all. It is messed to punish the kids, but i look at it from the other side and say she's rewarding the kids of McCain supporters. They too are jsut innocent bystanders. We are all going to be affected by his socialism and racism if Obama is elected.

i watched a video of her in action on youtube. children can't vote, it's ridiculous.
Posted: Mon Nov 03rd , 2008
That's just vicious and vile...
Posted: Mon Nov 03rd , 2008
I think that's a pretty ugly thing to do. Children are innocent bystanders and it just makes Republicans look even more like douche bags. Good thing Michigan is going blue.
