Still waiting...Lorelai

Still no Fiona. My due date is this upcoming Saturday. My next doctor's appointment is on Wednesday so they should be doing an internal to check on how things are progressing. I've pretty much got everything packed for the hospital. I'm still trying to figure out what I want Fiona to wear home though. I've gotten most of her clothes organized but they all won't fit into the dresser in the hallway so my mom suggested using a different dresser that we have in the library. So as soon as she gets that all cleaned up I'll switch everything over to that dresser along with what I have folded in the diaper cart in our room. Lorelai is doing good. It was funny a few days ago I was trying to tell her that her baby sister is in my tummy, she just laughed & shook her head saying "un-uh!" lol

Still no Fiona yet but I am on maternity leave thankfully My leg has still been bothering me so I've been trying to stay off of it as much as possible. I've gone through a couple totes full of Lorelai's old clothes & pulled out a bunch for Fiona. I've got a couple more totes to go through, then I have to try & organize them all.

Lorelai has been doing pretty good. She's learning more words & saying more sentences. I'm getting even more curious as to how she'll like being a big sister.

Maternity leave starting soon//Leg swollen//Lorelai

Only five more days of work & then my maternity leave starts! Hopefully my leg won't get any worse before then. My left leg is swollen & bruised because Fiona is on my left side more. I think that happened when I was pregnant with Lorelai too but it might've been my right leg that time. I've been trying to get everything taken care of around the house but also trying to stay off my feet as much as possible.

Lorelai is doing great. She's learning a lot of new words & now she even puts her finger in front of her mouth & goes "shhh!" lol It's so cute. I keep wondering how she's going to adapt to being a big sister. We're still trying to work on her bedtime. Last night the three of us fell asleep on our bed & I woke up a little after midnight & put her in her own bed. The night before that I got her into her own bed around 11:00 & she woke up in the process but she was so tired she didn't fight it.

Yesterday I got a good amount of my & Sean's room cleaned up & organized. There's still a lot to do but at least I made a dent. I also got a couple loads of laundry done so I'm slowly catching up on that. I did end up taking a nap around 4 or 5:00. Thankfully Lorelai let me put her in bed a little before 11:30. At that point I wasn't feeling good at all & just needed to go to sleep. I'm feeling better this morning, still tired though.

I have to work 3-11 tonight which sucks. Both Sean & I have tomorrow off though, yay! I have an appointment tomorrow at my OBGYN. I'm going every two weeks now.

My tummy is grumbling. I need some breakfast.

11 more days until Christmas! I have just one more thing I want to get for Sean. I'm hoping it gets here before Christmas. If It doesn't I'll debate on whether or not to just give it to him as a late Christmas gift or to save it for Valentine's day.

Yesterday we started our new extended hours of being open until 11:00pm...sucks! Thankfully it's only until the 23rd. However at the moment I'm exhausted. Lorelai had fallen asleep with Sean in our bed & when I got home I carried her into her room & laid her in her crib & she was so close to falling asleep but this stupid pair of stuffed animal frogs that make a kissing noise & talk when their faces are pressed together kept going off only their faces weren't touching & it kept waking her up so I brought her back into our room & finally got her back into her own bed by two in the morning.

I fell asleep shortly after that but then woke up & couldn't get back to sleep after Sean left for work around 5:00 in the morning. Lorelai woke up around 7:00 & so I got her breakfast & she ate next to me on my bed while she watched TV & I slept as much as I could but I kept waking up.

Thankfully I have today off so I'm going to go catch up on laundry & homework.

Last night we decorated the tree. Lorelai loves it We're going to put a train around the bottom of it so hopefully that will distract her from the ornaments. We've told her not to pull the ornaments when she touches them. We got our Christmas pictures yesterday. I've already sorted what pictures are going to who in their Christmas cards. I'm sending most of those out today. I still need to get Sean's Aunt Lisa's address though plus find his mother's address.

Last night I put Lorelai in her bed around 10:30 while she was still awake. She whined a little but I think she's finally getting the idea that she has to start falling asleep in her own bed & not ours.

I decided to buy a book to teach myself how to knit. So far I'm having a little trouble with casting on but that's to be expected,lol. I'm a beginner & know nothing I'm starting to get the hang of it though.

I finally found something for Erika for Christmas. So now the only person I have left to finish is Sean So far I've gotten him a couple things but I want to find a few more. We're picking up our Christmas pictures today too so I'll be able to send those out with the Christmas cards. We've gotten some snow now. A few days ago it started snowing in the afternoon & was supposed to stop around midnight. I'm not sure what time it actually stopped but it looks like the snow is here to stay.

I have today off thankfully. I'm going to catch up on laundry & cleaning. Also mom put up the tree last night so we're going to decorate it tonight.

Ultrasound//Monday Plans//Christmas Shopping

My appointment went well yesterday, I had the ultrasound first. It's definitely a girl! Now hopefully Sean's mother will stop insisting that it has to be a boy. Everything is normal & we could even tell that Fiona has hair already! She's also head down which is good. That would explain why her feet have been getting me in the ribs all the time lately,lol.

I made sloppy joes for dinner last night. Wasn't bad. Lorelai even ate a little of it. Melissa called my phone around 9:30, wanted to know if she could stop by with Craig & Sean M (a couple guys I graduated with) for a bit since Sean M is in town for awhile (he's in the army). I didn't think they'd stay for very long so I said yes. They ended up not leaving until after 11:00 which sucked considering I was tired plus Lorelai still wasn't asleep. It was good seeing them but tiring. I'm not sure what time Lorelai & I fell asleep but I woke up at 2:30am & put her in her own bed.

Today I have to work 2-9. My next day off should be Monday. That's the day of Lorelai's next doctors appointment plus the day that we can pick up the pictures we got done at Walmart. I have to make a list of people I'm sending Christmas cards to this year. I got Lorelai one of those calenders that counts down to Christmas day that's filled with chocolate. She loves it,lol. It's so cute. So far the only people I need to finish Christmas shopping for are Sean & our niece Erika. I'm really not sure what to get Erika. It's going to be harder to shop for her as she gets older. She already has everything High School Musical so that's out of the picture. I've already gotten one thing for Sean, there's another I'm ordering off of Amazon but I still want to get him a few more things.

Ultrasound today-_-Lorelai & bathtime-_-Homework

My ultrasound is today! :) I'm excited. Yesterday my mom bought a baby/toddler bathtub at Kmart for Lorelai. I gave her a bath in it in the living room last night. We're going to do it that way for awhile until she gets over her "fear" of having a bath. The part she mainly hates is when we have to do her hair but last night she let me run a wet comb through her hair. We had a fire in the woodstove going (which is in the living room) so it was nice & warm for her. Plus we had Diego on the TV. Made me think that the invention of the TV in the bathroom is a good thing,lol.

I got my grades back on my last two assignments. Got A's on both of them. That made me feel better after getting a D on one assignment. I'm almost done with the assignment I'm working on now. I've gotten into practicing actually looking up codes which I like. I didn't realize there were so many different catagories for things.

Well I should go finish getting ready. Almost time to leave for my appointment!

I have today & tomorrow off, yay! :) Today I think I'm just going to stay home & focus on cleaning, laundry & homework. Might also run to the store later to use some more WIC checks. I can't believe it's already December. Seems like just yesterday that 2009 was beginning. A lot has changed over the past year though..a lot of good & a lot bad. I only have nine more weeks left of my pregnancy. Fiona will be here before you know it! I need to remember to call about my leave of abscense papers for work today too. I'm going to try to make it through most of December before I decide what day I'm starting my maternity leave. I might start it two weeks before my due date. It all depends on how I feel I guess.
