hiya everyone!
i'm the
Kiwi Profile of the Day!!! woohoo!
anyhoot. i missed a day yesterday, but it's okay because i just wanted to see if i could get a yellow month in October and i did! YAY!
so yesterday i went to
H&M at
Rockefeller Center to drop off my application. they were putting up the tree so i took a pic:
took the train down to
Chinatown to my obgyn and i know it's like this at all doctor's offices that making an appointment doesn't mean you'll get to see the doctor at that time, but i had to wait over an hour to see her!! ARGH! i guess i should be used to it by now, but that's just ridiculous!
well when i did get in, it was quick and painless... not to say it wasn't uncomfortable. since i don't have insurance, my doc gives me free birth control until my next visit. thank goodness for that. but the visit costs $150, so that sucked.
i was extremely hungry and i was craving a tuna sandwich from
'Wichcraft, so i went back up to Rockefeller Center got my expensive sandwich ($8.50) and headed up to Elliott's.
Elliott got called out from work so he was home, but he failed to tell me!! haha no worries though. i ate my sandwich and we watched
Kung Fu Panda. very good=)
Quantum of Solace started at 10:15, so we left a little after 7:30 to go eat at
Old Castle Pub by the theater. Elliott had just eaten a slice of pizza so he wasn't that hungry, but he ate chicken fingers anyway while i had seafood pomodora. SOOO yummy!
it was about 9:15 when we walked across the street to the
Ziegfeld theater where a line was started. they let us in just before 10 and the soda fountains had just broken down!! darn. so we had popcorn and a bottle of water. still good.
the movie wasn't that great. definitely not as good as
Casino Royale, but still entertaining. great chase/fight scenes too.
got back slightly after 1am. smoked a bit and watched tv. went to sleep by 2:30.
Elliott left for work this morning at 11. i washed the dishes and took a quick shower. Gary called me and said he and Eileen just got out of their NYU film class and we agreed to meet at the Barnes and Noble on 66th street.
stupid weekend train service. downtown 1 trains were going express from 72nd to 42nd so i got off at 72nd and started to walk down. i got a text from Gary saying there were at Best Buy on 60th street and i told them to start walking up to Barnes.
Gary was really hungry, so we went to
City Grill. Eileen had a caesar salad, Gary had a Hawaiian wrap, i had a buffalo chicken salad and we shared calamari and a pitcher of sangria. all very yummy=)
went to
Lincoln Square theater and decided to see
Role Models, but it wasn't starting for another 2+ hours so we killed time at Barnes and Noble.
the movie was very funny! i think Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott are both great comedic actors. i had a really good time watching it.
so now i'm back at Elliott's. he and his nephew, Nathan, were of course watching
Happy Feet. Nathan went to sleep not too long ago and now Elliott is playing
Gears of War 2 and i'm about to join him=)
terribly sorry for not getting to journals. i really wanted to yesterday, but i wasn't expecting Elliott to be home and today was just busy. i have absolutely nothing planned for tomorrow, so i'll get to everyone's then.
hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
