motorcycle, didn't get anything done

  • 03/14/09 6:52 pm

Yesterday I was ment to clean the house, go grocery shopping, and study. Did any of that get done? Not really.

Edward was not feeling well. He has a cold or flu or something. He had a doctor's appointment at 3:10 but he couldn't get out of bed to go. So we didn't go food shopping either. I ordered some groceries online and headed out to a little convienece store for some other bits.

When I was on my way to the store I was waiting at a corner for the light to change. All of a sudden I heard this scrapping noise. I look and there is a motorcycle laying in the middle of the road.I walked closer to it and saw a guy laying there. I got out my mobile to call 999 when he got up walked over to the bike, picked it up, and walked it to the side of the road. He was fine. I think he has just come out of the motorcycle shop and misjudged the turn. Luckily there were no cars coming behind him or he would have been run over.

Today was a doggie day out. Edward was ment to go with Arthur but he wasn't feeling well again so Arthur went with my MIL and Nephew. He is staying over the night at my MIL's.

I did some cleaning this morning, the groceries got delieverd around 12:30, and I have just been hanging around on the PC.I think my studying will wait until tomorrow.

Unwanted guest, Spring on the way?

  • 03/13/09 4:33 pm

I know I have talked about my friend Cheryl briefly before. I studied abroad with her in college a few years back and she is planning a trip back over this way next week. I really don't have the money to do much with her and she is the kind of person that needs a lot of attention and excitment so I am not really looking forward to it. I explained the money situation to her and she still insists on coming. So I got a message on facebook from her yesterday. We are kind of planning that she meets up with me next Friday and stays over til sometime Saturday. Not too bad if I can find something free to do with her right? But then last night I realized she would have to sleep on the couch (which isn't a big deal) but we don't even have extra sheets, covers, or pillows. I obviously don't have the money to go out and buy them for one night. I guess I am going to have to try and borrow some from my mother in law. But then if I mention someone is coming over she is going to want to "help" be a tour guide and I really am not in the mood for entertaining.

This morning so far it has been really nice out. The sun is shining and it isn't too cold. I wore only a fleece out, which is a big step down from my artic looking coat. The house needs to be cleaned, we need to do some food shopping, and Edward has a doctors appointment later on.

This weekend I have to study my butt off for the Life in the UK test. I take it Monday after work. The nerves haven't hit me yet. Give me til Sunday. Other then that there is a doggy day out tomorrow. I think my MIL is taking Arthur. I just don't want to go. I enjoy them to a point but they aren't my friends we go with and it just feels akward sometimes.

No Country for Old Men was ok last night. I was getting a bit tired of it near the end. I went to bed at like 9pm again last night.

Work was ok today. I am really getting into writing instructions for my successor.

Edward got another letter today asking him for another interview next Wednesday. This one is in the Infection Unit. So now he has 2 interviews next Wednesday. *fingers crossed*

Tonight I am watching Neighbours and Stylista. No other plans.

Another interview for Edward, just wont be the same without him

It was really hard to stay awake last night but I had to stay awake. Last night what the first episode of a two part CSI where Gil Grissom leaves CSI. I am going to cry when he is gone. He is my favorite CSI character. It is not going to be the same without him. It will be like when Giles left Buffy or as if one of the friends left Friends before the end. This will be 3 out of the original characters gone. I didn't care when Sara Sidle left because I didn't like her from the start, I think that is how her character was ment to be. When Warrick died I cried he was one of my favorite characters too. But with Grissom gone....it just wont be CSI.

Edward got a letter in the mail today. He is invited to an interview to be a nursing auxiliary in a general medicine ward next Wednesday so fingers crossed.

I was ment to go to the post office today but I don't know if I can be bothered. I might just go on my way home from work tomorrow.

Going to watch Neighbours later and then I think we might watch "No Country for Old Men"
