I am still alive. I just haven't been bothered enough to make any entry lately.

Work is interesting. Maybe I will make an entry soon. I do occasionaly pop in and read journals and responde from time to time. I promise to try and get better at it.

Happy Easter all. Edward and I are not really celebrating. I did take the bus to the grocery store earlier so I picked up ingredients to make Baked Ziti. That is the extend of my specialness for the day.

My MIL has Arthur at her house today until around 6. I have done some dishes and laundry and food shopping.

Other then that I have just been reading The Lovely Bones. I am nearly done with it. It is ok, but I don't believe the hype on the cover saying you could read it in one sitting.

Yesterday Edward and I went into town. I stopped in the bookstore and bought my mother a book by Stuart Macbride. He rights fiction crimes set in Aberdeen, where I live. For Christmas I bought my father his first 3 books. My mom recently said she was enjoying reading them so I bought her the 4th book. His fith book actually comes out on Tuesday and he will be in the book store on Wednesday but I will be in work all day. Oh well. I also got myself two more books with my gift card. "The Brutal Art" by Jesse Kellerman and "Fractured" by Karin Slaughter. I still have £16 on my giftcard which should get me around 3 more books.

After the book store we went to the Post Office and I sent off my Easter Cards and Easter present for my mother.

On the way home we bought a bottle of Rose wine. Other then that is was a relaxing night.

Well it is only 12:45 so I can't really say I have done too much today, but I have some time on my hands so I figured I would make my entry now.

When I woke up th is morning I finished watching Ghandi. It was a lot better then I expected it to be. And I too never knew that there was a movie about Ghandi.

It is a nice day outside today so Edward and I are going to take a walk in to town. I want to see if the post office is open so I can mail my Easter cards, which I know wont get there in time anyway.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I spoke to my mother. She was ment to get the results of her latest PET scan on Wednesday to see if the latest chemo has made any progress. But the hospital hasn't writen the report on them yet so we have to wait until at least Monday to find out. She says she is feeling ok. If she does anything she loses her breath and needs to use her oxygen machine. She has to thicken all of her liquids so that they don't drip into her lungs but she says it isn't too bad. She will probably be going out of work on socoial security disability. She is 6 years from retirement but this will only be around $30 less then she would be getting from social security if she went to retirement age. She just reallly can't work, it will only make her more sick. It is sad to see her give up work. I always pictured my mom as someone who would work until the day she died but I guess this is what is best for her. She says she is happy and will catch up on all the books she has been meaning to read.

Also on Tuesday my mother's cousin Paul died of colon cancer. My two Aunt Marilyn's were fighting over w ho was going to tell her because they thought it would upset her, so they left it to my father to do. Yes it would be upsetting. He is the same age as my mother and died of cancer which she is also suffereing from but she is not a child. It doesn't stop it from happening if you don't tell her.

Just a quicky as I forgot to write through the day and time is running out.

I did a lot of dishes today

The plumber came to fix the drain outside.

My mother in law stopped by for an hour or so for a cup of tea.

I finished reading The Host by Stephanie Meyer. And have started reading The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.

Edward and I watced the first hour and a half of Ghandi. He doesn't want to finish it but I was getting really into it so I may finish it on my own tomorrow.
