A swashbuckling good deal! Johnny Depp to be paid £32m to star in fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean film

Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp will pick up a staggering £32million for starring in a fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean film.

And it's the highest up-front pay-cheque in showbiz history.

The huge pay-day eclipses Tom Hanks' £29million salary for DaVinci Code follow-up Angels And Demons.

Now Depp will become a record-breaker by returning to his role of loveable rogue Captain Jack Sparrow.

Last night, an insider revealed: 'It's a lot of swag but there's only one Johnny Depp.

'They simply cannot make another 'Pirates' movie without Jack Sparrow.'

Keira Knightley, starring as Elizabeth Swann, is unlikely to reprise her role

Insiders claim the movie will have Captain Jack searching for the elixir of eternal youth.

But it's unlikely that Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will return to their roles.

The insider added: 'The first three films have earned $2.7billion at the box-office.  

'It's no surprise that Disney executives want Jack back and they are willing to pay big bucks to get him.'
