Integra Telecom Announces Network Expansion

5925438287066237374.jpg "The small business segment continues to be a focus area and we want to serve and support those customers," said Joseph Harding, Integra's senior vice president of marketing, in an interview with FierceTelecom. "When we looked at our network assets, our differentiated service model and the progress we made, particularly in the last 12 months around our product portfolio, we feel like we're really well positioned to serve larger business customers as well." Right now, 61 percent of Integra's customers bill $1,000 a month, while its fastest growing segment is with multi-location customers that spend $5,000 a month. To serve these larger customers, Integra has over 2,200 on-net buildings on its fiber network. In areas where it has not been able to serve customers with fiber yet, it has been expanding its Ethernet footprintvia Ethernet over Copper (EoC). One of the key areas that Integra will focus on throughout 2013 will be focusing on expanding its on-net and near-net opportunities.

Integra Telecom rebrands itself as "Integra," expands focus to enterprise market

5923042643318128188.jpg When I refused to pay that $1,000 for services I had not received, they disconnected my phone service. I spoke to several different people at Integra and was flat out told that unless I paid that bill in full, they would not turn my phone back on. I refused, and so they shut off my email and website as well.

New Lower Pricing On Ethernet Over Copper

5829320336489481736.gifBusiness Ethernet is now more affordable than ever! 5829320340744484536.gif

The premier telecom solutions agency 10gea.org today has announced a price reduction in Ethernet over Copper (EoC) based broadband circuits. With this new pricing, EoC provides business and enterprise customers with dedicated, reliable broadband at a fraction of the cost of a NxT1 bonded T1 circuit.

"We have seen the price of Ethernet over Copper drop for a while now, but this is the first time we can reduce the pricing on so many different speeds. While many people see EoC as a replacement for bonded T1 circuits, it can also be a great alternative to a DS3 line, especially with this new price drop where we can offer 45Mbps (equivalent to a ds3) for around $1600 per month, or $250 for 2Mbps symmetrical", 10gea.org’s VP of Sales Mr. Wind states.

Besides reduced pricing, customers can also expect some other promotions such as free installation, free equipment and in many cases even a free month of service. To find out if a location is within range of Ethernet over Copper facilities, companies can use the online Ethernet availability and quoting tool at 10gea.org. EoC speeds start at 2Mbps and can go all the way up to 200Mbps. According to 10gea, these lower speed Ethernet circuits (such as a 2Mbps line) are a very popular T1 line replacement - both for price and circuit scalability.
