The Directors of Seqimco

Some might say that a corporation is only as good as the individuals that lead it. While it’s important to not forget the small guys that do a lot of the footwork, this notion is still largely true. After all, most employees operate at a sufficient level regardless, but depending on the quality of the leadership, their performance could amount to nothing at all. That said, Sequoia Investment Management Company knows this better than anyone, and for that reason their leadership is top quality and top notch.

Steve Cook, Portfolio Manager

The leadership at Seqimco is comprised of four individuals called Directors, each with decades of experience in specialized fields. The first of these Directors is Steve Cook, the portfolio manager. He is also the head of structuring at Seqimco, managing most of the structuring for the company’s investment plans and products. He has seventeen years of infrastructure debt experience. Prior to working with Seqimco, he was the European Head of Whole Business Securitization and Co-Head of Infrastructure Finance with UBS, as well as the former Head of European Corporate Securitization with Morgan Stanley & Co. His MA in mathematics from the University of Cambridge is but a testament to his expertise.

Dolf Kohnhorst, Chief Risk Officer

The next Director is Dolf Kohnhorst, the Chief Risk Officer. As the title implies, his responsibility is risk management for investment at Seqimco. Supremely qualified for the job, he has thirty four years of experience in investment banking, debt capital markets and lending in the shipping, construction and project finance sectors. Before Seqimco he was with Societe Generale, where he was responsible for the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group covering UK, Irish, BeNeLux and Scandinavian banks. He also worked sixteen years at Morgan and Stanley Co.

Randall Sandstrom, Chief Executive

Randall Sandstrom is the Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer at Seqimco, with twenty-five years of experience under his belt in capital markets. Before working at Seqimco, he managed over $6 billion equivalent in corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, leveraged loans and money market securities. He also has an MBA in Finance & Investments from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Beyond that, he is even US Army Ranger Qualified.

Greg Taylor, Portfolio Manager

Finally, we have Greg Taylor, another portfolio manager, as well as the lead infrastructure analyst. Before his position at Seqimco, he was the Co-Head of Infrastructure Finance at UBS and Head of Infrastructure Finance at Merrill Lynch, with twenty-six years of experience to his name. Having worked with investment numbers in the billions, he also has an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Yale University School of Management and a BA from Williams College in Massachusetts.

In the end, great leadership makes for a great company. And in the case of Sequoia Investment Management Company has got it all covered. With four directors with various skill sets and a plethora of experience, they’ve got all the leadership they need to lead their company in a way that is best for everyone involved.
