Bears' Marshall Steeling For Tough Test Vs. Taylor

5926126586097591766.jpg "I have a lot of respect for this guy," Marshall said. "And no longer will I overlook him." Even at 33, Taylor hasn't lost a step. On Monday, he drew the assignment of straitjacketing the Bengals' A.J. Green, who eight days earlier had torched the Bears for 162 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Against the Steelers, Green had 14 passes thrown his way, catching just six for 41 yards. Marshall took note of Taylor's impact. "He's a technician," Marshall said. "He's smart.

Chicagos six takeaways this season are tied for second in the NFL... Chicago coach Marc Trestman is third in team history to win first two games (George Halas, Neill Armstrong)... Bears TE Martellus Bennett is fourth player in team history to score touchdown in each of first two games with Chicago.

Bears can?t pull off big upset

5926126609848963980.jpg "You think about when you're struggling on third down, you look and you don't necessarily have to try to fix third downs," Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. "You have to fix first and second down, so you're not putting yourself in third-and-long situations so much." Truth is, the Steelers haven't been good on third-and-short, either. They're 1-for-10 on third-and-5 or shorter. That represents an opportunity for the Bears to cure their greatest ailment. Third down woes always are complex, as Bears defensive coordinator Mel Tucker reminded reporters Wednesday. Defensive linemen must generate pressure to help the defensive backs in coverage, and vice versa. The pass rush is a major factor, and the Bears are not satisfied with theirs.

Bears get clawed by Juan Diego

5926126616169722204.png Bastrop, led by Cameron Barron, led 23-12 with under eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Useful Content but a pair of late touchdowns from the Mustangs helped the No. 19 team (ranked by Dave Campbells Texas Football) in Class 4A avoid the upset. Trailing 23-12, the Mustangs marched 67 yards in just over a minute, capped off by a Denzel Feaster 1-yard run, but missed the two-point conversion and trailed by four points. After a Bastrop punt, Tyler Ellis hauled in a sideline pass from Feaster and turned upfield to score the 36-yard go-ahead score and put the Mustangs up for good with 2:02 on the clock. Bastrop had one last chance, and advanced the ball to midfield before Justin Fiallos stepped in front of a last-ditch pass by Cameron Barron to seal the game with 13 seconds left on the clock. Manor marched right down the field on its opening possession, taking just six plays to go 71 yards and score on a Tim Harris 36-yard run and go up 6-0. Bastrop took the other route, taking its time and compiling a 13-play, 61 yard drive capped off by a Barron nine yard run.

Climate Change: Polar Bears Change to Diet With Higher Contaminant Loads

5890734361356801144.jpg In fact, the Steelers have treated the Queen City like a second home over the years, winning 11 of their last 12 at Paul Brown Stadium before last Monday night's 20-10 setback to Marvin Lewis' crew. Perhaps no team has had a more difficult start to the 2013 season than the Steelers, though, and now the team will try to avoid its first 0-3 start since 2000. Used to kicking off a new campaign in style, especially at home in Heinz Field, Pittsburgh lost far more than a game in Week 1 when Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey, defensive leader Larry Foote and running back LaRod Stephens- Howling all went down with season-ending injuries during an ugly 16-9 setback against Tennessee. "We've http://www.zyvexasia.com/nike-brian-urlacher-jersey.html got a lot of work to do," Tomlin said at the time. "Nobody cares about our problems. They're glad we've got them. We need to understand that. We need to stick together and persevere." Things didn't figure to get much easier in Cincinnati as an old friend, James Harrison, and a strong Bengals front seven laid in wait after a bitter Week 1 hiccup at Chicago.

Double Coverage: Bears at Steelers

5890345673462628090.jpg (Bear Rivers Jardee) Nessen is a great quarterback. I really like him and theyve got some good receivers, so I knew wed have to step it up on the defensive side. I think our defensive line was in their backfield a lot. We got to the quarterback and we stopped their running game. The Bears managed a pair of touchdowns, including a 27-yard pass from Nessen to Colton Jensen with 5:01 left in the first half. The next one didnt come until late in the fourth quarter and Juan Diego already sporting a 45-7 lead. Trying desperately to move the ball, Nessen finally found Brady Parker open for an 8-yard scoring strike, but it was too little too late for the Bears. Perhaps most disappointing was the way the Soaring Eagle had their way on the line of scrimmage. The Bears (3-2) are huge up front and came into the game hoping to push Juan Diego around a little. But the opposite occurred.

Bears-Steelers Capsule

As far as Cutlers relationship with Trestman, so far so good. Trestman came into the Bears with the mandate to protect Cutler, which obviously went a long way with the quarterback. Trestman has said the true measure of their relationship will come when they face adversity together. Speaking of adversity, how significant was the Maurkice Pouncey injury to the Steelers' offense? Bears at Steelers: Stat of the Week 166 Points the Chicago Bears have scored off turnovers since 2012, the most in the NFL. Brown: It cost the Steelers the offensive player they could least afford to lose aside from Ben Roethlisberger , and Pounceys season-ending knee injury had a ripple effect.
