Fallkniven Pilot Survival Knife Review

For tough indoor or outdoor use the Fallkniven Pilot Survival Knife is a great option. According to one active user, "this is hands down the finest outdoor/survival knife I have used.

It has a tapered blade that is 0.18" thick and a blade hardness of 59 HRC. With a protruding tang that is broad, the F1 black leather sheath is as durable as the knife itself. It holds up to both skinning and dressing bear, deer and rabbit out! Campers love it for cutting kindling wood and it is flexible enough to use in the kitchen.

Its ultra sharp border meets all international standards. It's simple to clean due to its all-weather coating and convenient size is ideal for several demanding tasks, plus it is easy to sharpen. Outlasting many other knives in its group, it's both corrosion resistant and rust resistant, no matter what sort of conditions it's used in.

This pilot survival is a fixed blade survival knife, not a folder, and it comes with a selection of two different kinds of sheaths: F1 black leather or The Zytel. Made of injection molded Zytel, this sheath is durable. Fabricated of high quality Zytel, the double security, one-handed style also comes in a left-handed version. The F1 CeraCoat 8H F1 black leather sheath is also a favorite. The sheath is also accessible for left handed users and covers the entire knife.

With an easy rubberized grip, the Thermorun handle is the best size for use while camping, fishing, hunting, wood working and lots of other uses. For large hands or little, it provides a safe, cozy fit.

Owners do have just one criticism: One Fallkniven Pilot Survival Knife reviewer says the lanyard hole in the handle is unusable. "It is set too low to be used, it's confused by the hand." This is the sole complaint owners have, however. Owners say that the Fallkniven Pilot Survival Knife is the right weight and size, it's corrosion resistant and rust resistant even when used in mud, water or blood. Additionally, it holds its razor sharp edge for quite a long time. "It has great edge retention."

Buck Hoodlum Survival Knife Review

Modestly priced from between $129.95 and $146.49, the Fallkniven Pilot Survival Knife is not difficult to hold and easy to command. It's rubberized grip is comfortable and it's blade is surgical sharp. Used by Swiss Air Force pilots, there is little to complain about. From SwissAir tough laminate steel blade to its comfortable rubberized grip handle and its discretionary F1 black leather or Zytel sheath, its handy use in the kitchen. Receiving 5 star evaluations all around except for the placement of the lanyard hole, the Fallkniven Pilot Survival Knife review couldn't speak more highly of this Fallkniven Pilot Survival knife that is tough, lasting, really versatile.
