SARCOMA SEMINAR: The new Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's Samuel

Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute will celebrate its June 12 opening

with a free Sarcoma Awareness Day symposium. Patients and their families

will have the opportunity to discuss treatment advantages, surgical

options and other strategies to cope with the disease. The center

features a team of experts in surgery, oncology, pain management,

radiation oncology and other cancer treatments. The event takes place 9

a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the institute located at the North Tower,

HELP WITH HEARING: Hard-of-hearing seniors can attend Can You Hear

Me Now?, a seminar featuring Audiologist Marina Kokonis who will discuss

hearing problems, diagnosis and a variety of treatment options. Kokonis

is a doctor on staff at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. The

seminar is for Beyond 50 members, a free senior membership program

provided by the Providence Health System in San Fernando Valley. The
