One change in Darvish's offseason plans is that he'll spend the next several weeks working out in Texas instead of spending it in Japan, which will allow Rangers personnel to better monitor him. Darvish expects to start throwing again in December in a bid to put a tough 2014 season behind him. Darvish was 10-7 with a 3.06 ERA in 22 starts but went on the 15-day disabled list Aug. 13 with right elbow inflammation. He was shut down for the season three weeks later.
