Samsung Galaxy S9 Will Soon Get Android 8.1 Oreo Update

Samsung is soon going to release the update to latest version of Android for one of its flagship smartphones. As far as the update is concerned, the release will be based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Also, the update is expected to be released very soon for the Galaxy S9 which is the latest flagship launched by Samsung. The Exynos variant of the Galaxy S9 was benchmarked few days ago running the Android 8.1 Oreo based build which means that the update is just around the corner as well.

Now, we have attached the snapshot of the GeekBench score from the Galaxy S9 and it is clearly visible that the smartphone is running on Android 8.1 Oreo Gapps. As far as the Galaxy S9 is concerned, the company has always launched the device in two variants. The Galaxy S9 too comes in Snapdragon and the Exynos variant. For the US market, the Galaxy S9 powered by Snapdragon 845 is currently available. For rest of the world, the company sells the Galaxy S9  powered by Exynos 9810. Now, we have already mentioned that the Geekbench scores are found from the Exynos powered Galaxy S9 which means that the update should arrive in the Asian and other countries first.

However, it is also guaranteed that the update will arrive for the Snapdragon variant of Galaxy S9 pretty soon as well. Apart from that, it is also known that the company will soon release the Android 8.1 Oreo update to the Galaxy Note 8 series and the Galaxy S8 series in the meantime. As for the Galaxy S9 update, the company has not made any announcements regarding the update but we expect the update to be released in the next month or two so stay tuned to get the update.
