Be Yourself and Wear Detox Foot Pads

Just be yourself.

Do you recognize this nugget of wisdom? Yes, of course, we all do, don’t we? It’s become the axiomatic bedrock of modern socializing; the idea that worthwhile life-long relationships only come from an honest and forthright beginning. These sorts of ideas stick in the collective consciousness because they have some value to us. It’s especially true here on kiwibox.com, wouldn’t you agree?


But, I think that how it has value, to me, is a bit different than what you might find in popular media. Let me explain.

Who you are

You, like me, are a human being. You’re a member of a species that has survived and evolved on planet earth for millenia. Humans are distinguished from other species mainly by their big-brained intelligence and nothing else of any note.

Within the species, we distinguish ourselves on a finer scale. What makes you YOU is how much you’ve optimized your natural onboard systems. YOU are a product of your health, your experiences and education, and your mental state.

Being yourself is a great thing, but you need to work hard to become yourself; enough yourself to make the old adage a valuable maxim.

Your mind

When it comes to making inroads in optimizing my psychological wellbeing, all I needed to do was listen to my dentist’s advice.

Yep. That’s not a typo. My dentist is who first recommended that I start practicing what is popularly known as mindfulness meditation. My dentist is what’s called a holistic dentist. He’s based in San Diego and I highly recommend this sort of dentist. They’re experts in biology and most of the natural sciences as they relate to human thriving.

I first visited my dentist as a stressed-out, but successful entrepreneur in online publishing. During the initial health review portion of my first check-up, I got a ton of good advice on taking control of my health via my diet and habits.

A key habit I got into soon afterwards was guided mindfulness meditation. Rather than controlling my thoughts and emotions, I learned to observe them dispassionately and achieve a serenity and “peace of mind” that had eluded me for my whole life.

At work, I am still a dynamo, but it no longer takes the toll it once did.

Your body

My dentist taught me (and yours will agree), that the science is now in on proper human diet. Almost everything we thought we knew about healthy eating has now been proven wrong. Fat is not the enemy. The real enemy was sugar all along.

To be yourself, stop eating so many carbs and get your energy from fat and protein. You’ll drop weight and start to feel young again. Don’t forget vegetables, especially the green ones.

Oh, and exercise too, obviously.

You can be toxic

Even if you learn to meditate, and you eat right, you still can’t avoid heavy metal. It’s not only the soundtrack of your youth; it’s the harmful consequence to the 21st century and the legacy of industrialization. Heavy metals, like mercury, and other toxins permeate our earth, water and air. They are unavoidable.

You can find supplements online that will help your body rid itself of these harmful materials, but you can also find weird products like these detox foot pads made in Japan.

Detox foot pads

I put them on my feet at night and peel them off in the morning. Every morning, they are saturated with a brown substance. It’s gross, really, but after I had them analyzed, I discovered that they helped extract toxins from my body.

Be yourself

Being yourself means being your real, intended self. The person you are should not have mercury in his pee, and be crippled by anxiety and poor diet choices.

This is my interpretation of why “be yourself” is good advice. I have been myself for almost 5 years now, and I know only happiness.
